Unfortunately, software freezing can have a myriad of causes! Without much more information from you we have absolutely nowhere to start to help you!

So, please read this post and give us ALL the information requested there. Then tell us, step by step, exactly what you are/were doing immediately before the freeze occurred. Are you sure it "froze", i.e. you could do nothing with the program, or was it merely taking a long time to complete a particular task? How long did you wait before, presumably, closing the app and/or computer?
