Freezes on Export - MAGIX Photostory Deluxe 2017

I put a lot of time into my project and once I had the soundtrack, sound effects and FX done I attempted to export it to a Video file. I tried MPEG 2, 4 and wmv but it seems to freeze and at the same point every time, 2%. The video and photos I'm using in my project are from a local HDD and one external HDD. The project plays fine but I can't export it.

Are these files being loaded from the external hard drive?

If so try copying them to the computers internal hard drive, adjust the project when you load it - it will ask you to locate the file - point to where they are stored on the internal drive and then use Save project as to save the project with a new name to avoid overwriting the original.

Then try exporting again.
