In addition to @emmrecs comment, we need to know more information about you computer specification, Windows version and Photostory version - see this topic for details of what is required.
In addition what are you adding to the timeline - images, video or both and what formats are they.
Which export settings are you using and did you make any changes to them?
It seems I spoke too soon and following a few hours of trouble free operation Photostory reverted to "freeze mode", functioning for less than a minute before freezing. It simply refused to run for more than that. So I have given up any attempt to continue my project. I really thought it was fixed. I have repeated the corrective measures you suggested without any improvement this time. So here are the PC details I think you want:
Windows10 Pro operating system. / ACPIx64 based PC (home built) /AMD A8-9600 Processor, Radeon R7 Graphics. 8.00 GB RAM/
Just one thought is that at startup there are always a couple of promotional messages which I tick to prevent them reappearing. It makes no difference - they always re-appear. And as soon as they go .. it freezes.
The above may be a cause of the crashing if the two options indicated below are turned on.
In Windows settings, Apps look for Magix Cloud, also known as Update Notifier, Magix Connect or Network Sync, and uninstall it if it is there. Do not uninstall the program called Updater if present.
