Fotostory Deluxe Locking Up

I have just installed the update to Fotostory Deluxe and now I cannot do anything in the program. If I select more than one photo, it locks up. I have to finish this project by tomorrow evening and I'm hoping to add more special effects. Thank you!

What version update did you apply?

Did you do a Windows button, Power button, Restart of the computer after the update - if not please do so.

At the time of my first submission, I did not do a restart, but I just did and it took away all of the caption options, and intro's & outro's. What I had in the original program now costs to add intro's and outro's and just about everything else. So everything in my original project is gone, except for the photos. What also does not work is the fonts, transitions, decorations - only what fits in the preview screen (on the right) is shown. The scroll bar does not work in any of the items. I am super disappointed in this program. It's a complete mess and I'm not sure what I am going to do now that it is due tomorrow.😡

That suggests you have upgrade from an older version of Photostory.

If you browse to the Magix website magix.com and click the My Account icon top right of the home page.
Login with the email address and password you used to register the software.
Click the My products link.
You should now find you registered product(s), serial numbers and download links for the installers - if the old version is very old there may not be a download available.
Download and install your old version - you should not need to un-install the latest version - just change the installation folder name in the install dialog.

It is best not to upgrade to a different version of the software until a project is completed.
