Forgot how to edit and remove a track. Help !

It's been sometime since I've used my program. I have forgotten how to edit a track ? If I remember. You would put the two flags inbetween the track and double click or something ? Help !! I have totally forgotten how to approach this.

Editing is best done in the Timeline mode.

In there, move the red "timeline" to the beginning of the segment you wish to delete. Use the "Split scene" function (which is different in different versions of MEP). In MEP 14, it's the first oval shaped button to the right of the fast-forward button just beneath the viewer window.

Next, move the red "timeline" to the end of the scene and do the split scene cut there. Then click once on the scene to be deleted, making it highlighted. Then just hit your delete key and it will be gone.
