A little more context might be required here, but my guess is that the auto-update function is screwing up and downloading the incorrect patch for the specific program version you have installed. Manually locating, downloading and installing the patch from the support website will take care of the issue.

So, go to the support website:

http://support.magix.net

It will automatically switch to the language/location detected on your system. If that fails, change the flag manually to match the language version of the software you're actually using. That's the first important point to get the correct patch. (Btw, you must be a registered Magix customer and logged into the support site.) Then, go to the download section and click your way through the different product lines and program to the version you're using. Make sure to distinguish between classic and "Plus" version as well as between disc and download version. Download the corresponding patch and run it. Done.
