Would be nice if it's possible to add text in vertical writing format.
This is important in Chinese/Japanese.
It's not just rotated text. each glyph should be upright instead of sideways.
Adobe, Corel and Inkscape can do that.

(As a matter of interest, are you the same ashf that has made similar requests on the Serif Affinity forums? I'm also on the Affinity forums, though clearly not a moderator there!)

I think that all you have to do is to make the text box the width of a letter. Each subsequent letter will go on the next line.
Yes I'm aware of that method. I do the same thing in Affinity Designer.
But it's not really usable when you do page layout that's multiple pages such as for a magazine.
It's not possible to do that for countless of lines one by one.
