favicon

"How can I make a "Favicon"?"

Followed the above recipe and the manual using WD17Prem : perfect.

Tried to do the same with WD18ProX but the favicon didn't turn up. Trying to include other than jpg-file (ie png, ico) failed.

The only icon popping up was a default icon on the tag when launching the site.

However favicons developed in WD17 and later updated in WD18 are still visual perfect.

Are there any solutions to initiate own favicons in WD18ProX ??

Hi

The issue may be your browser cache not updating, try refreshing the browser several times pressing F5, 2 or 3 times, to force it to reload the page.

If you export the website to a folder on your PC then open the index.htm in a web browser does the Favicon appear?

Thanks John -

Have cleared cache and tested Edge as well as Opera - negative.

Have checked "paper clip tag" - see following

Have checked Web properties - Page and Website HTML (Head) - empty.

Index.htm - no #-jpg file that indicates favicon, except all other graphics on top level.

Open for new options.

Erik

ps

favicon.jpg is included in index_htm_files as 1623.jpg. The expected transforming has't worked somehow.

Included another website's index_htm_files - that's what I expect.

@Erik-Skogstad

Hi

It looks like the name assigned to the Favicon image is incorrect - it is named favicon.jpg - the name should be favicon - no file extension as shown below

Thank you John - You're right. Leaving the extension made my day. Maybe it should be emphasized little more in the tag's HELP window ??

Case closed.
