Hi,

What are you asking really.  In windows (even XP). You can prevent any process from running or stop it from running.  But I digress, this is not a windows forum, it is a Magix forum.  Windows questions should be directed to Microsoft, and Magix questions should be directed here.  What does your windows services console have to do with Photo Manager.  If Photo Manager is running a process or a application that you do not wish to run, just disable it either at start up or disable it all together.  I actually don't get what you want to do.

It has EVERYTHING to do with Magix, since FABS is the "helping agent for Magix media database".  The service will not allow to change to anything BUT automatic, you get "Error 5 -access denied". This is the only service which will not allow a change! I have several Magix programs installed.

Hi

. . . . WHY cannot FABS be changed . . .

Because it is an essential part of the software.

Even if you could stop FABS it will break the software then you would be complaining the software does not work !
