Exporting Movie as MPEG Chops Last Second

I have a very short film (12 seconds). I exported it as an MPEG file and tole it to save 'between the markers'.

When I played it back, it only played 11 seconds. The control bar showed more space left but the movied stopped.

So, I exported as a Windows Media File (still using between the markers). This time it played the full 12 seconds.

Why does the MPEG version stop short?

Do you have the start marker at the beginning and the end marker at the end?

I have the same exact problem! i lose the last bit of my video when i try to export to MPEG format. it's VERY frustrating! please let me know the answer when you get it.
