Export settings never remember

v850tw wrote on 4/6/2017, 6:35 PM

Hello.... It seems to me, in the past, a project would remember the export settings so I could modify if I wanted. But now that I have bought the program, am I wrong... the export settings go back to a default and I have to choose what I want and manually pick the same settings I used previously. Is there any way for Magix to remember and default to the last used export settings? I have the one setting for movie checked to use settings as presets for new movies, but that does not do it. Is there a way?

Having created your export settings, have you tried clicking on the "floppy disc icon", export screen, top right. See image below.

I tried your suggestion. It does work. Many other editors DO remember export settings from the last export.

Another thing Magix does not do well on is used video clips. Normally it has a red marker on used clips, but when I apply a speed effect on clips in the timeline, they no longer show up with a red marker. That needs to be fixed.

No problem here - are you still using thr trial version or have you purchased?

Which patch version number is your VPX? Mine is 15.0.3.144

Are you also using the Project Folder in VPX? It can be quite useful. The clips also show up there and you can have some in there that are not on the timeline, but ready to go. You can also right-click on one and find it on the timeline.

I just looked. I am up to speed with the same number as you have. I did purchase a few days ago and did the latest updates. I need to figure out what else I can add to this editor that comes with it.

Yes... I am using the project folder. I usually drag from the file manager to the PF. All is good on most projects, but I use-slo mo allot on some projects and the moment I add the next clip to the timeline, the one before that I have adjusted the speed effect, looses its red marker. It happens every time. This is my latest try - learning this program. I think this video is a bit soft from letting the camera stop all the way down to F14 on the iris. I am waiting and waiting for an ND filter.... grrrrrr. There are a lot of slo-mo clips, so I can't just take a look to see what clips I might want to add.
