When I export video to computer as mp4 format output is not recognised as mp4 file. If I export video for Android output (mp4) is ok. What might cause this?

I am using Windows 10
16 GB RAM
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor
NVIDIA GeForce GT 730

Hi there, had the same problem. I just converted the mp4 video fileto an mp2 video file using Any Video Converter.

@Pentti-Tarnanen

Hi and welcome to the forum.

We need more information in order to be able to help you:-

. . . . When I export video to computer as mp4 format output is not recognised as mp4 file . . . .

If this is Video Easy saying the mp4 is not a valid file format for export:

  • Can you post a screenshot of the message that the file format is invalid.

  • Which export preset/settings are you using?

If the error is when playing the exported mp4 video:

  • Which player or players are reporting the file format is invalid?

  • Download and install MediaInfo and analyse the video file that is an 'invalid format' and post the results, see this tutorial on how to setup MediaInfo and analyse a video clip for all the data required.
