Error when opening VSCL: cannot find the name Intel lCD OpenGL Driver

emmrecs wrote on 3/6/2017, 8:49 AM

This is a problem I see every time I attempt to open the SAL Video Sound Cleaning Lab supplied with VPX 365.

I found a post http://Error when opening Magix: cannot find the name Intel lCD OpenGL Driver detailing the same problem, with an earlier (?) version of Audio Cleaning Lab, and, following ralftaro's post, have checked that chipsets, drivers etc., are all up to date. (I cannot check whether the version of VSCL is "up to date", nor indeed which version it is, since I can get no further than the splash screen.)

I also downloaded and attempted to run the utility which Ralf posted, but it simply produced an error message that no compatible installation was found!

This is much more of an annoyance than a hindrance to work; I have other, rather more sophisticated tools for cleaning audio, but a solution to why a program, installed much less than 12 months ago, fails to run would be nice!

Hello Jeff,

For a tweaked version of the fix that includes the current version of Video Sound Cleaning Lab, please go here:

I trust this will take care of the issue.

All the best!

@emmrecs

Whoa! I typed @Jeff above and the new interface changed it.

You mention that a SAL Video Sound Cleaning Lab came with VPX(365), is that correct, VSCL? I only have Music Editor 3 that came with VPX. How did this come to you?

Not that I want it, as I already have Audio & Music Lab Premium, but I was just wondering why and how you got it but others, like me, did not.

Hi John.

Yes SAL VSCL, version 22.2.0.53 (DP3) came bundled with the upgrade to VPX 365. I've just rechecked the purchase confirmation email and it is listed there, along with its installation code! Because of the prior lack of a 64 bit OS, for me the upgrade was from VPX5 to VPX (365/8). Perhaps that is why it was included for me and seemingly not for others?

Not sure what to make of the comment on the interface changing what you typed as the first line of your reply? "BB is watching you"?!!

@emmrecs

Thanks. It seems that you also got Mercalli V4 with VPX(8). You are privileged. I can't get VPX7 to activate on my Surface Pro in order to install Mercalli V4, so I have it only on my desktop.

Type @ and there is a pop down with names proposed; it's a new feature of this forum.
