@carey-kinker You probably have the wrong version installed. There are different tiers: Sound Forge Audio Studio, Sound Forge Pro and Sound Forge Pro Suite and the 365 subscription version.

You can get the correct installer, by entering your serial number here:

I copied and pasted my serial number right your web site and into the link above and got this -

Invalid serial number

Please enter a valid serial number

yet i use Vegas every day.

@carey-kinker All modern Magix serial numbers look like this P3-12345-12345-12345-12345-12345-12345. Make sure yours has the same form.

It would also be interesting to know, if you try to enter a Vegas serial number into Sound Forge. That wouldn't be possible.

Hi @carey-kinker, You must use the same email address you used when it was purchased. The activation serial code and you email address are paired. I do not think the installer file for the subscription version (Sound Forge 365) and the perpetual version are interchangeable so confirm you have the correct installer file.
If all else fails, contact Magix support.
