Encoding Error

Thanks webguy.  I am on an HP Pavilion using Vista, 50gb free hard disk space, 3gb ram so I wouldn't think space would be a problem.  I did forget to mention that I am using a trial version of MEP14 if that might make any difference.  The message is very simple and goes something like this:
   Burn has been aborted
   Encoding error
I have actually tried several projects, none more than 3 gb so should easily fit on a dvd.  I have tried using a clean dvd.  I have used other trial versions (trying to decide which I like best) such as Cyberlink PowerDirector, Ulead MovieFactory 6, Adobe Premier Elements all which have successfully burned projects.  However, I like the interface of MEP better :) so would really like to get this program working!

First check to see if you have enough hard drive space for MEP to create the file that it burns to disc.
Also, how long is the video? Did you have any issues editing it?
What was the specific error? What did it say?
Also, how much memory do you have?
And what settings do you currently have set?
Did you try another fresh blank dvd?
