The video was about 30 mins long
the encoder settings were user defined
6224
10
smart rendering
anti flicker
advanced settings bit 6000
encoder quality 10
smart render

web guy also asked whether computer had enough ram? how do I know this?

Deb,

I had a very similar problem.  I hope you can read it here:
http://www.magix.info/us/knowledge/2-video/290-other/7305-region-or-formatting-trouble-out-of-region-error.html

Also can I ask what version of MEP are you using.  I know V.14 has all the patches for Vista.  If your using V.11 like I am your going to have to download some patches.

Also the out of sync problem is very common if your using the wrong format NTSC or PAL.  There is a 5 frame per sec. deference between the two.  This can cause the sync problem.  It’s not very noticeable at the start of your movie but gets worse as the movie goes on.

All the best.
