slicebogey wrote on 4/13/2015, 12:55 AM

I started a new project in X7. I dropped multiple video clips in the timeline. I edited the video clips but when I go to move the a clip where I want them placed, and dotted line box show up on the clip and every video clip moves when I attempt to move the one clip. What am iI doing wrong?

TIA

Hi

There are three mouse modes:-

Mouse for a track   (7)

Mouse for all tracks  (8)

Mouse for single object  (6)

You mouse mode is probably set to one of the first two, the keyboard shortcuts (IIRC) are as shown above.

Look up mouse modes in the installed PDF manual for more information.

Hi,

Your question is rather vague. You want to move the clip and a dotted line box shows up.....

Are you trying to move the clip on the timeline or in Effects, Movement Effects, Size & position?

Perhaps you could explain in more detail what you are trying to do. We can't see your screen and we don't really know what you have done.
