 Are you running a lot of other stuff at the same time? I am only running 2 GB of ram (on a core 2 Quad) and I don't have any problems. Try checking your virtual memory setting. - control panel, system , advanced settings, performance, virtual memory. Set it so that windows manages your memory. This is a safe setting for good performance.

I've had the same thing happen to me when adding a new video clip. It takes a minute then it finally comes out of it. I'm having other issues with mine.

Similar problems! It now crashes and won't open my saved projects. It's basically worthless now....
I can't edit and they won't give me a refund ("Money Back Guarantee...."?!)

Can any of you suggest a better software for amateur HD editing?

After I complained they stopped answering my emails... 
I guess they only want satisfied customers... they just dump those who aren't happy!!!

They answered eventually and gave me the 15 edition which works now, apart from some minor problems which might happen coz my laptop is not that powerful.

But anyway, as someone just said, the software is great but is so "moody"... Sometimes I restart my computer in order to be able to continue my work. I edit mp4 clips with H.264 encoding and I export in 720 p 16:9.

If I want to have a 5 minutes video I must create two sepatete projects (2,5 min ecah) otherwise the program stalls when I reach minte 3 in the project.... So I create two distinct mp4 clips which then I combine togheter in a third project - That's how I edit......

Not the best logistic but at least it works. I hope they will improve it in the future.

Ask them to give you the 15 edition if u have trouble with 16.
