dvd playback freezes in places

hi, just used magix for first time and was well pleased with result.

I recorded a video and burnt it to dvd, good quality picture and sound in sync, but halfway through the dvd it started to freeze, couple of frames first then got pretty bad, does anyone have a solution for this,

Not sure if this will be an answer for you, but I was experiencing similar problems. Spoke to a guy at Best Buy who asked me whether I was using DVD R- blank disks (I was). He said he discovered that he had much better luck with DVD R+ blank disks. I purchased some Sony ones (I have a Sony DVD player) and have not had this problem since.

Note that at the same time, I purchased a DVD player cleaner disk and cleaned my player a couple of times so I'm not entirely sure which helped (or whether a combination of the two worked).
