DVD BURNING

djcawthorne wrote on 4/7/2016, 6:11 AM

At the end of the process of burning a DVD of images/music i get a message "writing lead out time and closing disc. this process may take some time."

what happens then is some immediate activity on my DVD burner then nothing for about 1 hour 15 mins then a message comes up

"Burning was aborted with the following error. Internal error while processing. Drive not ready."

i then am able to remove the DVD from the DVD burner and find that the images and music have in fact been burnt onto the DVD!!!

so any idea as to why this is happening.

i cannot stop or remove the DVD while the drive is doing nothing for 1 hour 15 mins.

i can only stop it if i power down my pc and remove the DVD then restart the pc.

any suggestions much appreciated.

i use DVD + R

Hi John

I am using Video easy  version 5.0.3.106 .  I only bought it last week and downloaded it from the site so would expect it to be fully up to date?

Running it on windows 10.

Hi

. . . . Running it on windows 10. . . .

Was this an update from 7 or 8 ?

If so the drivers for the burner may be incorrect - check the manufacturers site to see if there are any issues with it or Windows 10 drivers.

Is your burner a LG HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH24NSC0 ?

If so try this update to the burn routines.
