dumb question about catooh animation files (wmi)

Hello.  I have what is probably a dumb question, but I was wondering if anyone has ever downloaded the animations from Catooh. I found one called the "old_storybook-green-screen" which would fit a show I'm making perfectly.  I thought that it was editable as there is a green box where a picture would be when the book opens.  When I downloaded it, it was a regular WMI file.  Is there a way to edit the WMI file or somehow revert this animation back into Magix Pro 15 files? I know photostory had an animation just like it and it was composed of cfx, jpg, and mxv files. With the book animation in photostory, all you had to do was edit the master  jpg.  Can anyone help me out with this?

When you downloaded the file, what extension was it?

Does that file not open in the Movie Edit Pro?

When I downloaded the file, it was just the old story book animation with a WMI extension.  Yes, I can put into movie edit pro and play it.  However, the book opens to a green box, which should be a picture.  It just seems like I should have been able to edit it.  Otherwise, it doesn't do much for my show.

Sorry.  I kept saying wmi and I meant wmv. For other reasons I had wmi stuck in my head.  I'm not sure if I can attach catooh stuff in here, but  the name of the file I'm talking about is "Old_Storybook_Green_Screen_HD.wmv".  If you go preview it, you will see what I mean about the green box.

Ok, the green area can be used to be a transparency, meaning it will allow an image behind it to show through.

This would be done by "Chroma-Key" effect.

as a test...

Load a picture into track 1 (this is to be the background picture)

Load the "Old_Storybook_Green_Screen_HD.wmv" file in track 2 (this is to be the foreground picture)

Now, click on the "Old_Storybook_Green_Screen_HD" object so it is highlighted. Go to the tab 'Effects', then 'Video Effects' look for 'Chroma-key', then press on the 'Green Box'.

This should allow you to see the image in track one. The track one image could be anything, picture, video. graphic, text... you name it.

That is how that can be edited...

I am not sure what effect you are looking for, but I think that what I listed above was the intention of that file.
