Drivers wont install, get error message

pillajpila wrote on 2/27/2014, 10:33 PM

I cannot get the driver to install for the Rescue Video 6 red/white convertor.  I get the error message 0x80096002 - the certificate for the signer of the message is invalid or not found. I did get the patch from Magix which helped get audio but the video driver still will not show up.   I have Windows 8.1 and have tried removing the program, cleaning and restarting..   Same result ...

Hi

This is a Windows issue - you need to install Windows Identity Foundation on your computer

To do this you need to open the Control Panel and select , Programs, Turn windows features on or off, select the box for Windows Identity Foundation 3.5, OK.

You should then be able to install the drivers.

Hi,

Have the same problem. Tried your solution, but it didn't work. What else can I try?

I tried your suggestion, still get same error message.  Beginning to think Windows 8 and this program (as many others) not work together and I'll have to return it.
