After playing arround with the trial which I have to say they have a very slick product. But prior to buying I always tend to check the forums for issues... It would appear that the instalation of the Soundpool files is not functioning at all. Tested myself and it dont work after downloading all Soundpools and also trying to get the application to manualy add just dont work... This issue has been raised her and not one reply from the support team which leave you more than reluctant to spend ones hard earned cash.. I am not knocking the product as in the trial mode it looks very impresive just let down by the most basic of functions of adding further samples which it what every user needs.

I would recomend you take a closer look at cakewalks site.. Magix sort out your support cus you realy suck in this area!!!! Another lost customer!!!

"Dont Buy Magix Music Maker 15 online version"

I would say that about all software.I NEVER buy/download software. I know many people do,but I'd rather have the disc on hand.To clarify,if I PAY for software I want the disk.

Hi

I spent most of my weekend trying to get this to work, because I am in Australia and didn't want to wait weeks to get software delivered. I can finally say that it is 90% working (keeps crashing, which might be my PC's fault) and I can't seem to link the Revolta files, but everything else - so far so good.

The instructions for download were very poor - you need to download ALL the content packs and install them ALL before you even open up MM. Do not even think about moving files around so MM can "find" them - I did this and it just didn't work, it needs to find them itself even if they do seem to install all over the place in folders EVERYWHERE - it's very messy.

But now that I've had a chance to play, it is very good indeed. I logged a ticket with Magix on the weekend which they responded to after 48 hours but it would have been great to have had really good instructions to begin with. It says on the site you can download pack 1 and it should start working, but you need to do all four.

It seems like Singey has the solution - you should stop by the Music Maker Tips, Tricks and How-To group on this site and share this answer with others!

I would say don´t buy any Magix Online version, it seem Magix is only releasing updates for CD versions of its programs.

This is the second Magix product (and the last) I encountered problems with; though I regard the good money I spent as education fee and write it off.

If you buy the first product you don´t know better, the second time it is carelessness but if it happens 3 times it is ignorance and that will not happen to me.

Well its too late for me, I can not believe this product that seems so good and easy to use sooo many people cant get off the starting blocks like mysel. My problem is that I downloaded the software but it comes up as music maker 15 trial. Did it say this to everyone who downloaded it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled so many time but to no avail. I went on magix web page to get an activation code but it wants my computer Id. Yes I know I know nothing about computers but I do not know what computer Id they are talking about. I went to my systems and put what ever was there but I do not have a clue.

I can only play around with one content pack, I think this is because it thinks it is a trial version aaaahhhhhhh. Seeing hundreds of people having problems I'm beginning to regrett buying this software I have spent a whole day yesterday and have gotten nowhere.   AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

To Sartoriea ... (and lots of others hereabouts) ...

Hmm, yes, there does seem to be something wrong with Magix, as a company. I run a lot of different (pro) music software apps, and have built up quite a large collection of hi-tech (hardware) bits... also, I relate to many other musicians internationally /  on-line...

... now, out of all of the programs I have ever used, and all the various companies I have either heard about, -or used, and had contact / dealings with, Magix is, {unfortunately} one of the most 'idiosyncratic' --to put it politely!
They have made this very neat Music Maker prog,  -it 'feels' good, sounds good, has loads of nice features (some of them much less fiddly than 'pro' applications), and it even looks kind've pretty too!

~ BUT !!!.  ......

1. They (apparently) seem to have little interest in offering proper SUPPORT to their customers?
2. The manuals (hard copy and electronic) seem to have glaring inconsistencies, mis-translations, and bits missing?
3. They don't (apparently) seem to care that so many people are really angry with them, over the *unsorted* problems they've been having?
4. And the program itself really does have various 'bugs' in it, as far as I can tell, --maybe more than the average prog? (most progs have a few glitches in them? --ask Microsoft!)

All this leaves me a bit puzzled!    --If they could tidy up / sort out the 'bugs' then they wouldn't get hassled so much by their irate customers ! ...and loads of people wouldn't then be so angry, and slagging off their programs so often, (on and off line...)
It seems a real shame that the folks behind Magix can't sort this out. And, having worked 'behind the scenes' for various companies, I am aware that there must be quite a few disgruntled employees, who are also peed off with the company as a whole? (and also fed up with us lot complaining at them !)

I am aware that the prog is cheap -- (compared to the 'pro' end of the market) but even so, ... shouldn't there be a BIT more effort to sort all the various and frequent problems out?

Before buying this prog I thought, "Okay, it's made in Germany, and that's generally good, coz so much of German stuff is decent gear..." --but in this instance??  --well, it seems to be the 'exception that breaks the rule' ?!

Ho hum! ~~ For the moment I'll carry on using MMM #15 Premium, but it has been such a nuisance and a hassle on occasions, that I may go back to some of my other applications, and try not to use MM very often? ~ A shame, when the program has such PROMISE , which just rubs salt into the wound!

I wonder who owns this company? It would be good to hear the 'inside story' about the company, (( from the Boss?!!)) and why it seems to be having so many problems!

For now:

Good luck, all you fellow

~~ er, sorry ... I of course meant  USERS<< >>
