Hi

What is your question?

. . . . Beware, it's for Windows only. No Linux drivers.. . . .

It is clearly stated on the Magix site and the product box this product that part of the system requirements is a Windows OS.

. . . The box says "Including SCART cable", no SCART cable inside the box! . . .

You should have taken this up with your supplier. - did the box have an intact security seal?

John

Yes, the box was plastic-wrapped, possibly by the importer who ensured the contents were for South Africa. The USB device works perfectly in Windows Vista 64 Ultimate. Thanks! Wonderful adapter direct to my onboard USB port. Now I'm looking for a cable to go from VCR Digital Audio OUTPUT direct to my S/PDIF Digital Audio INPUT plug on the motherboard, as well as S/PDIF Digital VIDEO INPUT plug on the motherboard, that I need LINUX operating systems to identify and use. Lightning speed. Digital quality.

My hobby's motto is "Specialist Attention, Professional Results", and now I need to go analog VHS immediately converted by VCR to Digital Audio Ouput jack on the reverse of this LG multi-DVD/VHS machine, but the DVD doesn't work. Some long story about the LG laser for that device is out of production - obsolete - so why not just connect a new LG slimline DVD-ROM drive like in my desktop computer? At least I thought that was obvious.

I also have a fitted HDMI cable between my bedroom and my office, but I do not possess a High Definition television set - they are still beyond my budget.

I need a gadget that will connect up all my devices DIGITALLY, to enable such a massive improvement in my motto's products.
