Do you get some sort of 'Can't Save...' message, or is it that you can't find the recorded material? Try 'File' >> 'Settings' or 'Program settings' and you should find a tab for choosing the file locations for recordings, saved projects etc.

Might you be failing to click on an 'OK' button when finished? I've not got 'RYV' but other Magix video editors usually need an OK rather than simply shutting the recording window when you are done. I think this is true whatever the source eg from screen, from digital camera, of from an analog capture device. Look also for an option to add any recording directly to you project rather than simply saving them.
