Yes. All options are on the same webpage. Just be careful to select the correct version. It is the perpetual licence version, or if you have MEP 2019 you may quality for the upgrade to VPX. It should allow you to keep your current copy of MEP.

Also make sure your system can preferably exceed the minimum running requirements.

I think you can add curves to audio in VPX but there are other ways of going about that such as putting the videos on different tracks and have them overlap and then drawing in the curves using the curve drawing tool or using the mixer track faders. Not as elegant and needs steady hand.

I found it, its $70. Not bad for an upgrade. But there's also a VPX upgrade for $190. What is the difference between two? With VPX, could I do curve crossfade with overlapping tracks like you can in Vegas? I mean since Magix bought Vegas, I hoped it would include that feature. And would VPX have vhs effects and transitions like you can do with Premiere Pro?

I think that answer has been covered in your other post.

VPX is a beefier version of Movie Studio. Same basic layout but with added flexibility with transition curves for one. More control over things like colour correction etc if you need that amount of control. Object tracking is a tad more accurate and you should get smoother playback and faster export times with sufficient processing power over Movie Studio. Slightly better audio engine. Before and after monitors, the second monitor of which if desired can be used to live view RGB values etc with various scope and graphic representations. You can also edit some of the provided animated titles with an added title editor (Xara) that is not present in Movie Studio. No additional HEVC encoder needed to handle H265 files. VPX handles third party LUTS internally and camera specific LUTS. Movie Studio does not without a bit of possibly illegal modification.

VPX is still offering the NewBlue TotalFX – MAGIX Edition suite of effects which is worth the upgrade cost in itself (in my opinion) whereas that offer has expired with Movie studio.

I may get the Movie Suite. It says to upgrade Movie Suite includes NewBlue. Is that the TotalFX? If so, does it include the vhs stuff I want? I looked it up and I couldn't find any.

Yes, the offers must have changed today. it is this suite of plugins minus a few of them that are not compatible but no longer seems to be on offer with VPX.

Assuming you mean the Flexible crossfade MEP/MMS also has this, the example I did is a keyframed effect.

No illegal modification necessary, MEP/MMS do support 3rd party LUTS, they appear under the Movie Looks templates when the 3D LUTS .cube files, 1D LUTS do not work, are put in to the correct folders, for MEP 2022 they are

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Videocontent\Movie Edit Pro Premium\VideoEffects\LUTPresets\LUTEffect

and

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Videocontent\Movie Edit Pro Premium\VideoEffects\LUTPresets\LUTCamera

If you use subfolders they will appear as tiles/entries with the same name as the folder. MMS, and VPX use their corresponding folder locations.

I'm going back a bit but wasn't there a problem some time back where we were copying something (maybe a folder or similar) from VPX to get a working solution to something MEP didn't have? I can't remember the specifics but I thought it was along those lines.

You may want to play with the trial versions for a month and wait to see if there is a better offer for VPX and MS.

As you've been told, Movie Studio 2023 is about to be released. If you purchase 2022 Suite, the offer indicates that you will get 2023 when it comes out.

However, neither program comes with proDAD Mercalli. V6 has been released and may be bundled with VPX or MS in the near future, so you may want to wait.

Lastly, note that the main difference between MS Suite purchase/upgrade and a subscription is that you get access to Storyblocks for a year with the subscription.

No and that was my mistake before I bought the product. It honestly has no difference from what I already have, and if so then just very little bit I feel everything I need in a movie edit is what I already have, so I'm not that pleased with my purchase. Also it is giving me minor issues.

I doubt it but is it possible to return and ask for refunds?
