I chose the Red Smoke template. I have 7 chapters. In Edit mode, the first four chapters are surrounded by a white box. The last 3 chapters are surrounded by a black box.

There's also an image to the left of the menu. It looks like a DVD. When I hover my mouse over it, nothing. If I right click it the pop up window's first line says 'simulate DVD action'. Not sure about the purpose of this icon.
