Just wondering if anyone knows the differences between the three different coloured singles of the rescue my video tapes and If so are they all equally good quality or are some better than others in respect to the chip used in the converter?

I see that there is a

Red one

White one

Black one

It looks as though they are all the same thing and possibly based on the easy cap device usb model that is sold seemly everywhere from Amazon to ebay at prices from next to nothing to a fair more. I am thinking that the magix dongles be it whatever the colour is a better quality item in anycase but was just wondering.

Hi

. . . . I posted the Same thing twice by accident  . . .

The most common cause for that is double clicking the Submit button this is a subconcious action for a lot of computer users. However I see that your posts are 5 mins apart.

The differences between the converters is not listed anywhere I know of.

There is one difference that is known concerns a 'pseudo NTSC' signal that some PAL VCRs, which can also play NTSC video tapes, output. In simple terms the NTSC signal is put onto a PAL intermediate frequency.

TV's can handle this 'pseudo' signal, however the 2 black converters do not recognise it , only the red converter can.

If you do not have a VCR that can do this, or not playing NTSC tapes on a PAL VCR then there is no issue.
