deleted arrangements

I copied an object in an arrangement to transfer to a new field to work on it; I saved the old arrangement, went to new arrangement, did the work, saved it to that field, but instead of, I  renamed the new arrangement as the old arrangement and now I have lost the old arrangement since I can't find the original arrangement...is there a way to get it back?  This is for mmm17pre on wind7

If I understand you correctly, you have OVERWRITTEN the original file, therefore it no longer exists.  That is odd since a Windows program will normally ask you if you REALLY want to do that before proceeding.

If that is the case, your only hope would be the back-up file, however that's unlikely since you've probably overwritten that too.

Procyon has already answered well but there is something might help you.

Even if you have over written backup file. In case your Music Maker is set to back up files you could have other one example:

if your Magix Music Maker is set to backup in every five minutes and you over write let' say after 8 minutes in that case you should have backup file saved before that all you have to search your saved files with the file extension BAK when you find one open it in the Music Maker and re-save that.

Your luck depend on the backup timing you have set for the program.

In MMM 16 Premium that is how some time I get back files (rarely).

I did look for a BAK up file and it did not exist, my mmm is set to back up every 10 min, however this song has been in the works for at least a month or so; I thought it was strange that no back up existed and there should have been multiples of BAK up, it's too late now since I replaced the name song with a different arrangement;  my main concern now is the use of soundpool 17, on whether I can submit a song, using that soundpool along with 3d party plugins, to agencies, i.e, Youtube, facebook, sound cloud....and whether this would satisfy copyright of my songs or whether I would infringe on other copyrights....?

It seems in MMM 17 features are changed any way. Regarding your use of soundpool 17.Soundpool, 9,10,11,12, (there is no 13)14.15. and 16 they are Royalty Free can be used in commercial work or even Music Maker version up to 16. However new rules from Soundpool 17 and up need an extra license Audio Pro Unlimited WAV 199.99 USD from
http://www.catooh.com/uk/sys/id/Katalog/area/mediaDetails/item_id/222980/

If you use third party plugins to generate effects in the audio and you fulfill the above license demand then it will be ok, you also check plugins license terms.

Hope this answer will help you

all that time and money expended on the music to find I can't even use  (not even mmm17 prem.  host)  or plugins to not be able to put it on Youtube, sound cloud,  or share it to any social networks?

I like Music Maker, it's easy to work with and I imagine the other soundpools are also fantastic; I can even understand, somewhat, why sp17 is not royalty free, or why limitations are in place, but in that, my music is expanding, and my interest and knowledge in this thing also, I wonder what my next step is, buy 3d party  plugins, learn another host; I much rather have my music be linked to music maker since it's my (first love),  so to speak.

thank you (nihon94, procyon) for sharing info and knowledge,... very much appreciated.

Now hold on here!  Where did you get the idea you can't use MM-17 or plug-ins for public or commercial performance?

As far as the soundpool goes, that is the result of you not doing your homework (research) beforehand and not reading any of the licensing agreements.  You have no one to blame but yourself on that account.
