Defrag with MAGIX PC Check & Tuning 2012

I run both Diskeeper 2011 and MAGIX PC Check & Tuning 2012. I trust Diskeeper 2011 with my SSD and it seems perfect, but MAGIX PC Check & Tuning 2012 keeps saying it is 40% fragmentated.

Please can you tell me, does your software (MAGIX PC Check & Tuning 2012) support SSD's or is it just throwing up an error because of Diskeeper 2011?

Thanks

Hi,

Technology of SSD is different from HHD.

The hardware of Data use Flash Memory NAND et not magnetic tracks.

Defrag is forbidden on SSD, most of Software are not able to perform or manage SSD and can crash your system.

On the other hand you have "to relieve" your SSD by keeping only system and programs.

Temporary files or folders, SWAP and others, will be move on a HHD to prevent  a long life to every cell of your SSD. (You can find those recommandations on the Web with Tricks and Tips)

Write is not endless on a cell.

I use SSD 240GB OCZ-VERTEX2 ATA Device (SATA)   on Windows 7 Ultimate.
