Have an issue where I cannot replace an image with a stock photo within a widget.

Started with template "Landscape Gardener 4". Within this template is a "Cycle slideshow 4" widget. I have tried to replace the photos with ones from the online stock photos but they do not replace the template photos. If I go via windows file explorer it works as expected. Am do missing something. Selecting image the choosing replace photo from right mouse click, then stock photo.
