@CubeAce Hi, yeah I can understand that but I can't work that way, I have another 24" monitor, before buying this bigger one I had two 24" monitors & I tried doing that putting the preview on the other screen, It was like watching tennis 😂, + I like to drag my files in from my folders on the 24" screen.

I'm glad you showed that tho, it shows just 3 tracks visible, similar to what I get when I reduce the window to make screen captures like I mention, If you've got video & audio that's 2 tracks taken, add some text & that's the third one taken, & I know you can Shift, Ctrl, Alt scroll the tracks etc. but I'm a one handed mouse person, if I have to put down my cup & reach to press a keyboard button..... 😕😂

I'm with you, one screen. Mine's 27", 2560x1440 at 100%. I too think it'd be a tennis match with two side by side screens.

In MMS's import window whatever order you put the files, Name, Type, Changed etc. that is the set order for all the folders you look in, I have a folder called pictures where I've name everything & so that is set to Sort by name. I have a junk folder that has recent stuff in it like screen captures, that I have set to Sort by date. For my projects I have it set to Sort by Modified (Sort by date doesn't show them in the right order sometimes). Using folders like this with MMS on two screens would mean switching/reducing/minimising one to see the other & dragging from one to the other could be messy or impossible.

27" would prob mean you have a bigger preview & 4,5, 6 tracks available,

My monitors say 3840x2160 & 1920x1080 in the display settings,

A windows screen capture looks like this & does fit those sizes above, FHD is ¼ of UHD

But in reality it looks like this 🤷‍♂️🙃😂

I like looking at one screen while editing. I have a 27" 4K IPS monitor that I edit on. Sometimes I would like to have more timeline length, but it is what it is. I am thinking of 32" 4K monitor next. Right now, I have a 24" FHD monitor on a monitor arm above the 4K monitor. Also, the MMS window is never full screen. I have to have access to other apps behind it, along with the desktop. Yes, I can use the Alt Tab to do this, but I'd rather use my mouse.

My monitors are on arms and can be moved but aren't normally.

My basement room. Although I have red background lighting the lighting where I sit is soft white. No external windows. My desk is U shaped and I have everything I need to hand.

It needs a tidy up.

I have looked at, and downloaded, one of the videos in question, it is 4K UHD 3840 x 2160.

There should be no need to resize the UI, - export and upload at FullHD 1920 x 1080 is all that is necessary.

@johnebaker Hi, yes they're normally UHD.

I don't think that would work, surely if I make them 1920x1080 (FHD) the writing is still small on a small screen & if it's seen on a larger than FHD screen the video is getting stretched & so reducing quality?

This is MMS recorded at full screen, not reduced & exported at FHD.

My capture software records the full screen so I cropped it in Vegas using a Pan/Crop preset I created, you've got Vegas so I assume you know what you see in this pic,

The last one I uploaded on Eric's post is reduced UI & rendered at FHD, it was a test, size reg render times & upload to the net doesn't make much difference to me but that was a longer video & the forum has been slow in the last few days so I just rendered it as FHD. like I say it was a test & once posted it looks ok.

Reduced, cropped & rendered at UHD is giving me the best playback quality at my end Gid. If it doesn't fill the screen I just right click the video and select 'Full Screen' from the drop-down menu. Results may also vary from web browser to web browser.

@CubeAce Thanks, yep that's what I was thinking, I posted a few but this one you're ref to. -

If you receive it at UHD it's getting compressed to fit on your screen, whereas FHD would be getting stretched

John, the issue for me is that I'm trying to squeeze a 32" UHD image onto a 27" 2560x1440 screen. By definition, on my screen the text on the Magix UI is going to be reduced in size. With a full-screen capture, I don't think changing the capture res is going to make it easier to see on other screens. I think the only way is to capture only a portion of the screen so it will be expanded on other monitors and be easier to see. The resolution is not important because we're talking about a physical size. In fact, a higher export resolution will result in a clearer image. I do my forum videos by hitting "normal view" button once. That reduces the Magix window size but it's still big enough to see all the features for the purpose of the video.
