Cropped image display distorted

Hi,

I have a problem with Photostory 2014 Deluxe.
The problem relates to cropped images (edited to fit 16:9 format).

If I edit an image from the storyboard with PhotoDesigner (opened within the program) and save the image overwritten, the cropped image displays correctly in the playback screen if the project is new and not saved.

However, if I edit an image in a previously saved project, the cropped image displays distorted in the playback screen. It seems that the cropped image content is displayed in the original format and not adjusted to tfit the 16:9 playback screen.

Is there a setting in the program I have missed or do you have a solution to this problem?

Best regards,

Patrick

Hi

This is a hangover from the saved project.

For example: -

Original image 3:2 AR will be set to the maxiumum dimensions possible to fit the entire picture on the screen eg 1620 x 1080 ( in a 1920 x 1080 project)- this will be saved in the project file.

When you reload the saved project file the  image which has now been cropped to 16:9, will be adjusted to the settings that were saved before the image was cropped.

You need to reset the Size / Position values to the correct ones for the image to be displayed correctly.

There is no need to pre crop the images - this can be done in the Size/Position effect dialog - set the Values in option to pixels if necesary - set the width to the appropriate maximum value of the project, eg 1920, set the Left value to 0 and the Top value to the required amount to move the image up you can enter negative values as well as positive.

Hi,

Thankyou for your answer. However, I found a solution to my problem in the "Exchange object" option under the Edit menu. It works, but it would be better if you could fix the hangover.

Patrick
