@Ahmet-Celik I suggest you use a free tool like XMedia Recode to convert your m4a files to standard PCM WAV files first.

Thank you for your suggestion, but wouldn't it be better to fix this bug?

@Ahmet-Celik

Hi,

Which program and version?

I just tried several m4a files in Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab 4 and I had no problems.

It sounds like you have a bad file and I suggest that you follow the advice from @SP.

MAGIX Video Sound Cleaning Lab and latest version. Which advices from @SP. I found some and did it but still crashing

SP. wrote on 2/8/2024, 4:22 AM

@Ahmet-Celik The WAV file is also crashing Cleaning Lab?

@Ahmet-Celik

Hi

m4a files can have AAC or Dolby AC3 encoded audio, only AAC is supported and there is an activation fee for the codec - you should get a popup window for this if you have not already done so.

Download and install MediaInfo and analyse one of the m4a and converted wav files causing the issue and post the results, see this tutorial on how to setup MediaInfo and analyse an audio clip for all the data required.

Check the Windows Reliability Monitor for any ACL4 crashes, see this tutorial on how to do this, and post a screenshot of the crash message.

Hi,

MAGIX Video Sound Cleaning Lab and latest version.

Video Sound Cleaning Lab is very old. My version, no longer installed, is from 2011. When did you purchase this and from where?

Also, "latest version" doesn't tell us which version. Please indicate which version. Look under Help, About.

@Ahmet-Celik, @browj2

Hi

Testing with VSCL version 22.2.0.53 (2017), I believe this is the 'latest' version, m4a AAC encoded, and WAV files import OK.
