Crash

Randahl-Ritchie wrote on 3/21/2024, 9:37 AM

I had Sound Forge and my computer crashed and I lost everything including the digital download. The keep sending me upgrade emails because I registered it but were no help when I told them I'd happily purchase the upgrade version, but I lost the copy I had with the crash. I had both Movie and Sound forge on my laptop, and I liked it, so I purchased for my computer, laptop sucked. You guys keep sending me Upgrade emails but said you couldn't find my record. I know it was a long time ago and your company has changed hands. What can I do to get back up with your software? I am on windows 10 and eventually will be on 11, but my i7 won't upgrade so I will be changing computers at some point, so much for, "Upward compatibility, thanks Bill..."

Please help,

Randahl Ritchie

@Randahl-Ritchie You visit Magix.com. and simply login with your e-mail address and password and download the installers from your customer account. In case you registered very long ago with Sony, simply use your old Sony login credentials. This will work as well because the user accounts were transfered from Sony to Magix.

The Sony versions of Sound Forge can also be downloaded from the Sony Archives. The Magix versions (Sound Forge 12>17) must be downloaded from Magix.

btw @Randahl-Ritchie, this is a Sound Forge users forum and not a contact for Magix Support. No one here, including the moderators, have access to customer information.

@Evelynn

What update are you expecting to read?

Based on the fact that the OP has not returned to post again I think we can assume the issue is resolved.
