Computeid

Hi,

I bought a copy of ACID Music Studio after a trail version installed on my Windows 10 compute expired.

I have received a serial number which when entered in the MAGIX pop-up windows when ACID is opened, which is accepted and receive a message stating - "The application will now restart to complete the upgrade process" - only to be presented with the same pop-up window asking for a serial number. So, logged onto my MAGIX account is attempted to create an activation code, only to be prompted for a computerid. I've checked the manual and there is no mention on activating....

Some guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks, Scott

Hello,

This problem can sometimes occur when a trial version has been previously installed and activated.

In order to resolve the problem, please do the following:

- Close the program if it is running.

The next step will require you to make changes in the Windows Registry.

- Open the Registry Editor.

To do this on Windows, press the Windows key and R together on your keyboard.
In the window that appears, type REGEDIT and press Enter.
If prompted, allow the program to make changes to your computer.

- In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following directory:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Sony Creative Software
> Acid Music Studio> [Version Number] > License.

Right-click the License folder ONLY and select Delete.
If prompted, confirm you wish to delete the folder.
Once the folder has been deleted, close the Registry Editor.
Launch the program again. You should now be prompted to enter your serial number and the 'activation loop' will be resolved.

Best regards,
Thomas Ash
