Using automatic scene recognition produces many short objects of less than a second duration. This flags up a message when I go to burn the movie to DVD but no solution is offered.
Is it possible to manually combine two or more objects, i.e. by removing the hard cut between them?
I don't have Rescue but in other Magix video editors you would delete one or more bits and then drag out the edges of what remains to close the gap. As editing is 'non destructive' you are not really doing any cutting of your original. Each piece is a reference to a section of the original and you can see the rest by extending the ends.
But first, is there no option for setting scene selection sensitivity? Or is you original actually made up of such short shots.
Also, as they are hard cuts, doesn't the playback look continuous anyway -- why bother about the cuts at all?

like Carl I do not have RYVT installed - however from the pdf manual which is installed with the software - the interface is looks fairly basic and does not appear to have a timeline mode which would then allow you to do as Carl suggested.
However there may be a way of doing it depending on which version of RYVT you have - look in the installed pdf manual about Cut an object.
Quote from manual: For each new scene, you will receive a new entry in the DVD menu later, making it possible to jump from scene to scene with your DVD player's remote control.
In other words Chapters - and the error message must be complaining there are too many - IIRC you are limited to 99 by the DVD specification.
I think you will have to delete all the scene recognition markers and then manually create the scenes - how is also in the manual.

I've come to the conclusion that it isn't possible to delete scene markers in RYVT, either individually or en masse. I'll just have to forget automatic scene recognition, start a new project and use manual scene recognition from now on. There doesn't seem to be any way to adjust scene recognition sensitivity.
