Hi, Im trying to add a box that pops up on the screen upon loading a page, but i want the viewer to be able to click a button to close the box (like a cookie-consent banner), i tried setting up pop-up layers but i cant seem to add a button to have the effect of hiding the layer when clicked.
sorry i should have explained a little better, i want the box like a cookie consent banner however id like the banner to always appear for every user everytime they come to my website, where as for a cookie consent banner, once they click "ok/I got it" button to close the banner, even after leaving the website and coming back the banner doesnt reappear unless they clear their cookies.

To ensure the popup does not repeatedly appear if the visitor moves back to the home page, you need to create a script that will check for a cookie, show the popup if it does not exist, on acceptance, set a cookie and on exit from the site, or close the browser, delete the cookie.
