Choppy playback in MEP14?

I am trying to simply view AVCHD (.mts) video in the MEP. I have upgraded to the mpeg4 codec and dolby digital audio, however sound and video still choppy. Files are stored locally. Any ideas?

Hi,

Make sure that your system is up-to-par for AVCHD editing and make use the MPEG-2 conversion option. System should probably have at least a quad-core (or very fast dual-core) CPU, 2GB of main RAM and a dedicated graphics card with 256 or 512 MB of VRAM. Material needs to be played briefly to give the program some time to do caching. So, it might not always play smoothly right away.
