Changed latency...lost mic??

Ok, so I'm trying to record vocals to a track on Music Maker 15. When I originally started the project, I was having issues with track 2 (the vocals) having a slight delay to what the music tempo was. I searched on here and it said to change the latency - so I switched to ASIO Driver Magix low latency 2008. Now however, when I go to record and sing in my mic, no sound picks up. By switching to the low latency, back on the audio recording thing my mic isn't an option anymore.

I have a mic that connects through a USB port, if that's any help.

I'm very confused and not really that familiar with magix and everything. I simply want to record a song to put on youtube for fun.

Please help!

Hi,

Please read this pdf for help it will explain in details with photos.

How to solve latency problem
http://www.magix.info/us/how-to-solve-latency-problem.online-training.130215.html

The above pdf will explain about latency but more detail for mic given below:

Look right below on computer, you will see your Speaker icon(for audio)  click it, and check the volume level, if sound is not mute, line in or mic is selected

Click on Control Panel of your computer click on Speaker Icon (sound) then click on Recording Tab and check if Mic or Line in is selected if not choose it.

Open your Magix Music Maker

click on computer keyboard "R" it will open Audio Recording windows look at No.3 Quality, under this put check mark on Playback while recording, you can choose other settings too if you like, also when you use mic you can monitor sound level where L and R are written, if you click on Volume mixer you will go back to the place SOUND you used from Control Panel, this is also short cut to access it. Click on it and see.

When done leave and again on computer keyboard click "P" key, it will open Program settings/Audio Midi device, look at left, you will have Driver option, it is better to choose ASIO driver for low latency. Otherwise choose according to your sound card. Click ok and leave.

In your case you have faced problem, you better change ASIO driver and see if that helps or not. You can also download a driver from

http://asio4all.com/

in some cases it also helps.

Thank you
