Change object length in midi maker

JohnySway wrote on 9/16/2010, 8:38 PM

In Music Maker 16 Premium in the Midi Maker, every time I zoom out, it lengthens the entire object. I'm trying to make a loop, but if I zoom out, it creates a bunch of empty space on the object. At the top, I set it at 4 bars or 8 bars or whatever size I want, but then when I click OK and go back to the arranger field, the object is longer than those bars.

I know on the arranger field I can click on the side of an object and drag it to shorten it, but I would like to be able to create a loop so I can drag it outward and it keeps the loop going like on the other loops.

If anyone can help, please do!

Thanks!

Hi,

I did not understand what do you mean by Midi Maker. do you want to say Midi Editor.

Any way if you want to make a loop. Try this it is from Pdf help file page 67 of Music Maker 16 Premium.

"Draw in" loops
Audio loops can be drawn into the arranger tracks with the mouse.
For this you have to set the mouse mode to "Draw objects" by
clicking on the corresponding icon in the mouse modes menu.

Refer screen shot and follow numbers 1 and 2(Choose from mouse DRAW)

Now an audio sample has to be loaded which will serve as a
template and which will then be drawn into the following area
of the track as a loop in the track.

This works as follows:
1. Load any loop from the Media Pool into the arranger.
2. Click on an area further back on the same track and hold down the
mouse button to draw in the loop.
Starting from the first object, the drawn-in loop area is always
synchronous with the beat. This means that the drawn-in loop is not
played from the beginning, but rather starts from the position where
the original loop would be if you had continued to this position. Or, to
put it differently, a running loop can be found on the track and you
can draw in at which position you can hear it ("Mute automation").
The synchronous start of the object in this mode has another
consequence: If an object is moved, then only object borders are
68 Arranging Objects moved, but the underlying loop, however, always remains intact.

What is written above seems difficult just follow screen shot from 1 to 2 then hold cursor and drag to the right as long as you want. After that click on the 2nd Red place and choose appropirate mouse such as Move selection. This will help you to move object. I have checked and it worked fine.

You can read more in pdf file that will be in Magix Music Maker 16 Premium Program folder.

If you need any further help send message.

Thank you
