CD plays in media panel but track will not drag down into movie

I want to insert CD track into movie. CD track plays in media panel and drags part way to movie then disappears. How do I insert track into movie?

In my MEP 14 I can go to File > Import audio CD track and copy the tracks I want --- . The sound is inserted on Timeline, and also copied to a Directory.
