I´m running VIDEO PRO X on a HP Laptop. I cannot capture material shot with a SONY Consumer -camera in AVC HD MODE 24M 50i with 5.1 Sorround sound from the MICRO-SD-Stick directly into the project-folder of VIDEO PRO X. Could someone tell me , what´s my problem. Am I supposed to shoot the material in just 17M Quality with just 2channel AudioRecording? SONY CAMERA TYPE is: HDR-PJ530E/ MICRO STICK is: SANDISK 64 GB

Hi

VPX always displays 5.1 Audio as 2 channel after import. To see the 6 channels of the original you need to Rt. Click the audio track and select "Display Sound Channels". You will need to open the Mixer and activate the surround sound to hear them but of course you need to configure your six speakers in Windows also.

If you wish to edit the individual channels in VPX then you must Rt. Click >"Extract Audio channels" where you will see the different waveform information on each of the 3 tracks and can adjust levels for each track.

Read the manual section about "Audio Editing > 5.1 Surround" for further options.
