Hi,

Did you try zooming in on the Arranger to make the objects wider?

If your objects are MIDI objects, then there is no waveform.

@browj2 yes I did it both ways and nothing seems to work

SP. wrote on 10/25/2020, 8:57 AM

I think Music Maker needs to create H0 or HDP files in the Soundpool folder to be able to show the wave forms. I would check if this happened or if the folders are write protected.

linofcp007 wrote on 10/25/2020, 9:17 AM

@SP. I did that and nothing changed

linofcp007 wrote on 10/25/2020, 9:23 AM

@SP. None of the H0 or HDP files exist I see very few in some packs only

linofcp007 wrote on 10/25/2020, 9:24 AM

@SP. This only occurs in the new projects created, the old projects that I had it shows the wav blocks

SP. wrote on 10/25/2020, 9:35 AM

@linofcp007 Were the old projects created with your old Music Maker versions or with the current one?

Music Maker should create the H*-files for every loop you use in your arrangements.

linofcp007 wrote on 10/25/2020, 9:42 AM

@SP. It was the same version but a while ago I got an update and I think after that I can't see anymore... If I delete the H0 and HDP, it will be remarked?

SP. wrote on 10/25/2020, 9:56 AM

@linofcp007 I don't know. I think it can break your project. Better create a backup before doing that.

browj2 wrote on 10/25/2020, 10:59 AM

@linofcp007

After zooming in on the Arranger (making objects wider), please post a screenshot showing a couple of objects that are not MIDI.

Select one of the objects, right-click, properties, and show us a screen shot of the properties, General Information tab.

Even I have the same issue

Mindpaint wrote on 12/19/2021, 12:16 AM

I have the same "no waveform" issue after latest update. Also, cannot click on the bar/measure indicator in the display anymore to look at time instead of measures. Screenshot has both issues circled. Also, per the manual, / and * keys should change pitch of sample in the arranger - been broken since 30.x.x.x. PLEASE can we get these issues fixed? Seems every upgrade has more "bad" surprises!

Hi

. . . . . Music Maker needs to create H0 or HDP files in the Soundpool folder to be able to show the wave forms. . . . .

Music Maker by default puts both a copy of the soundloop file(s) and the .H0 file(s) in the

Documents/Magix/Music Maker/ AudioTemp

folder - check that you have both the loop file(s) and the attached .H0 file(s) there.

Also check you Antivirus Protected Folder/Ransomware protection featy=ure log file to see if the AV is quaranting or blocking access to the AudioTemp folder.

@johnebaker

Yes, .H0 and/or .HDP files are being created in the soundpool folders when I drag clips/loops into arranger. By the way, one soundpool works, all others do not - all of these used to work before upgrade to 30.0.4.44. In fact, I was working on several songs when I noticed the upgrade, and these songs had working clips with waveforms being displayed. Directly (within minutes) after the upgrade, MMM projects that worked stopped displaying waveforms on any new clips I added. As a result, I have a few projects that have clips with waveforms and clips with no waveforms.

How can I roll back to the last version?

Mindpaint wrote on 12/19/2021, 4:03 PM

@johnebaker In addition to my comment above, I do not have a Documents/Magix/Music Maker/ AudioTemp directory.

How strange. That is the path in my settings. However it both doesn't exist and does!.

I find the files in:

C:\Users\graha\Documents\Magix Projects\Music Maker\AudioTemp

although the path shown in properties for any file is that which is in my folder settings, almost as if the "Projects" bit becomes invisible.

@Mindpaint, @Graham-Hawker

Hi Mindpaint, Graham

. . . . I find the files in: C:\Users\graha\Documents\Magix Projects\Music Maker\AudioTemp . . . .

The Windows 'friendly' name vs 'system name' conundrum strikes again.

Both file paths are correct depending on how you view the folders using File Explorer, however they end up with the same contents displayed.

Magix Projects is the 'friendly' users name for the folder, however the Windows system uses the 'system' name for the folder as you can see in the image below:

Note: I use the terms 'friendly' and 'system' loosely.
