cant find vcr when trying to transfer vhs tape to computer

Hello i have Rescue Your Video Tapes 6 and i have connected my vcr to my computer and when i open magix and create a new project it takes to the import screen where i choose the analog and then takes me to a screen saying to connect the vcr which i have so i dont know what i am doing wrong

Hi

You have not given us enough information.

I am assuming you have a USB video capture device - the following steps should get it working - step 1 can be skipped if the drivers for the USB capture device are installed and it already known to be working correctly.

1 *   Insert the USB video converter into the computer - install any drivers needed - they should be on the disc that came with the USB converter.  You can obtain up to date drivers for the Magix USB converters here - you will need to logn with the account you created when you registered the software

2.  With the USB device plugged and working correctly, connect the VCR to it using the Yellow, Red and White RCA plugs or S-Video cable, Red and White RCA plugs  - note instruction in the image below if you use an adapter plug like this

3.  Start RYVT and click the record button - on the import screen you should have an option to select the USB capture device

Record as you require.
