@Tony-Miller Please check the following things:

If you have a new computer, make sure that audio recording is enabled in the Windows security settings, otherwise it gets blocked: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/turn-on-app-permissions-for-your-microphone-in-windows-94991183-f69d-b4cf-4679-c98ca45f577a

Next, open Music Maker and navigate to File > Settings > Program Settings > Audio/MIDI. Here select an ASIO driver, for example the Music Maker ASIO driver. Click on the Advanced button to open the ASIO driver settings. Here select your audio input and audio output and set the ASIO sample buffer size to a reasonable value, for example 512 samples.

Close the settings and click on the red REC button in the track header until it shows AUDIO REC to record audio and MIDI REC to record MIDI.

I hope this helps.

@Tony-Miller

I upgraded to magix music maker 10

The current latest version of Music Maker is version 33, so is it MM you have or is it actually Samplitude Music Studio or ACID Music Studio?
