Cannot install the software - Error 1603

Every time I attempt to install the latest edition of Xara Wed Designer Pro (18) that I just purchased, it downloads and gets to the point of installing only to fail, saying "unfortunately the installation couldn't be fully completed" and shows Error 1603... I have tried sending a customer service inquiry (which sometimes works but usually fails, too)

I am running Windows 10 Home 21H1 64-bit on an Alienware laptop with 16 GB of RAM
