cannot find my new website

Assuming that you used the up-loader built into Xara Web Designer - the most common cause of the website not appearing is because the home page name has been changed from its default name, as shown below, of index .

This you must not do - the web site servers expect the homepage to file name to be index.html or index.htm.

If you did not use the internal up-loader, how did you upload the site to the web server?

A Google search will not find it until the Google bots have located the site and returned the data back to Google this can take weeks to many months, depending on if it previously knew of the web address or not before it automatically finds the site.

Thanks John EB I did use the internal loader and the page is exactly as your is depicted. It has been nearly 2 weeks and I am losing it.

Matt from Xara tried to guide me ...

I have republished my website. xara web design says it is at http://djrevcb.xara.hosting/djrevcb/ (google chrome) However when I type the given website address http://djrevcb.xara.hosting/djrevcb/ as a search there is no match. jpeg of website is attached.

I log into https://www.xara-online.com/gb/login.75.htm djrevcb.xara.hosting folder: djrevcb subfolder: index_htm_files I have no idea what to do with the contents

(djrevcb.com) was designed and hosted on magix. And was live within a fortnight. Do I need to complete any transfer documents as I wish to retain the djrevcb.com?

I accepted magix recommendation of xara expecting it to be as quick and smooth as previously. Can I get someone to check remotely .

If you purchased the domain name from another Domain Name provider you can transfer this to Magix/Xara as a provider.

Do bear in mind that domain names are separate from the actual website hosting so in principal you do not need to change the provider so long as the current provider allows you to assign (point) the domain name to any hosting location, most do and should have instructions/guides on how to do this in their support section or forum.

Transferring the Domain name does however make it easier - everything is in one basket.

The downside is you will have to contact Magix/Xara Support as the only information I can find is very old and I suspect not relevant.

Use the Support link at the top of the page, before you do read this guide on navigating through the Support system.
