Tools that capture the audio as it is played will not be the best quality you can get. This is because the sound card converts to analouge format to play the sound and then converts that analogue sound back to digital. Each time you converet, quality will inevitably degrade (by analogy think of photocopy. Each time a fresh copy is taken from a previous copy it becomes poorer).

Ideally you should use a tool to extract the digital sound directly from your DVD. A tool that can do this is XMPEG. Load in your DVD, right-click the image and select 'Extract Audio to ...'.

The MAGIX program "Audio Cleaning Lab" may also be able to extract digital audio from DVD's.
