Hi Randy,

I don't know and probably not many users do know if Copilot can be used with X6. X6 is 64-bit so the plugin should be for 64-bit. I looked at the Video Copilot site and could not tell either way. I suggest that you contact them.

There are other plugins that work with X6; some come with it. I have Pixelan effects, the whole series, and they work fine. There are many FX programs with plugins and they do not all work with everything, so it is best to check first.

If you don't have X6, I suggest that you download the trial version and try it out.

I don't understand what you mean by spending a lot of time recreating movies. X6 is like any other movie editing program. You bring in the video, images, sound clips and edit them to create a movie. It is not intended to be a viewing program for an already created movie. If you have a program from a different software company and have made a video with it and want to bring in the program project file, you cannot do this. Each program has its own project format. You can bring in raw or modified video files and modify them further. To explain, you cannot bring a Pinnacle Studio project file into X6, only an exported file in a format such as wmv, avi, mp4, etc.

Perhaps you could clarify what you mean and what you want to do.

Maybe he means using plugins as opposed to doing the effect in a standalone program, requiring another step of rendering, John.

Co pilot Shockwave does some special effect for Begining presentations or transtition points. I under stand they are not movies them selves, but special effect  element to reduce  time and addynamics to cut down time. they are key values that one can use to speed the process up or Lead in to a special part. Intro with special effects. I can call the manufacturer....
